
The opening ceremony took place in a 900 year old castle. The highlight of the cermony was the Mayor explaining the the reason the cannonballs (still embedded the wall shown below) are on the land side was the presence of rock offshore that kept the Danish ships a safe distance offshore. "Even Yngling sailors should be wary", a reference to the 2 boats that had already needed emergency epoxy repairs to their keels.
